Multi-Housing News: Meta Housing Breaks Ground on LA Affordable Housing

Meta Housing Corp. broke ground on two affordable apartment communities in Los Angeles, the 127th Street Apartments located at 550 W. 127th St. and the El Segundo Boulevard Apartments located at 535-611 W. El Segundo Blvd. The 127th Street community will offer 85 units for homeless or chronically homeless individuals, while El Segundo will offer 75 units for veterans and their families. “Homelessness in Los Angeles has drastically increased over the last several years,” said Kasey Burke, president of Meta Housing Corp. “An estimated 254,000 men, women and children experience homelessness in this city during some part of the year and 10 percent of LA’s homeless population is comprised of U.S. veterans. This is a challenge that must be addressed and new affordable housing is the right place to start.”
