BIA Riverside Chapter’s COVID-19 Response Resources

During this challenging time, our thoughts are with you, your families, and your employees. We hope you are all remaining safe and healthy. In an effort to address the threats of COVID-19 to our industry, we have created this page as a resource to our members.

Vaccine Distribution Information

The BIA Southern California remains in ongoing communication with state and county officials regarding the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine distribution is underway with recipients prioritized by a state mandated multi-phased and tiered system. Vaccines are now available under Phase 1A, Tier 1-3. There is no immediate timeline to move to the next phase with cautious optimism by some that the next phase may begin next month.

“WHEN CAN I GET VACCINATED?” Phased Approach to Vaccine Distribution – Given the limited initial supply of COVID-19 vaccines, distribution will be limited at first and increase over time. Determinations will be based on reaching critical populations to reduce morbidity and mortality rates due to the transmission of COVID-19.- National Academy of Sciences Prioritization.

County and Public Health officials have confirmed that residential construction workers are in 1B, Tier 2. However, it’s too early to confirm when Phase 1B will begin as the decision will be based on a number of variables including how long it will take to get through the initial tiers and how much of the vaccine each county is allotted.
